Ok, I know I'm going to get flamed/despised for my 2 and 5, so I'll explain those right away. If you have no idea who these people are before watching it, then all you get is 'ok, so they're bounty hunters, big whoopie' I know many would disagree, but that's all that the movie seemed to say about any of the characters from the series, sure the characters that were new (and those incredibly few) had pretty good ideas behind them, but some of their motives didn't seem all too ... intelligent? I know there are those of you who disagree with me, but you are each entitled to your own opinion and me to mine. Now onto story, the 5. Yes, I don't think incredibly highly of the whole "bio-chemical weapon being released and madman who seemingly randomly creates chaos and mass-destruction getting unbelievable reward on his head" idea. They could have come up with much better. Despite these flaws it was still incredibly enjoyable and the video and audio were nice. The music matched the scenes in classic bebop fashion, every one of the anime-bruce lee's kicks and maneuvers was smooth as possible, and it made for a very appealing movie, much moreso if you're into random action movies or had seen the series than not. And everyone who purchased this particular one seemed to find problems with their subtitles, but I had none with mine. Who knows. Watch, Enjoy, Think, Repeat.

Words cannot describe how much I love this movie. In my honest opinion there isn't a single flaw save a few minor sub mistakes. The graphics are wonderful and it only adds to the anime legend that is Cowboy Bebop. I highly recomend this anime to everyone.

Sound-Perfect(I guess i could mention, the sound was a little low, in the background sometimes) Video-Near perfect-very slick and stylish looking but some very few parts had some blocks. But sadly that stopped it from a perfect 10 :( Subtitles-Near Perfect-These are some of the best hk subs I have seen, very few misspellings or fast subs, nice :) Characters-Not bad, some were more modern looking i guess. Story-pretty good stuff. Enjoyability-Well some parts where a little boring in my opinion, but overall it was a great movie.

An excellent choice for where they placed this movie within the BeBop series. All of the main characters are there (including Ed, though I feel she plays a slightly larger role than she should have). The extra time and money spent on a feature film is evident on this - scenery is amazing and the artwork is excellent. Thankfully they've decided to stay close to the series itself, and there's nothing in this movie that shocks you out of the usual Bebop madness. Subtitles are fine - you never lose track of what's going on. Video is great (obvious DVD rip). The only departure from the series is the opening titles, and a great departure it is. It's all 'film noir' sepia black and white with a great theme song. Characters on screen sing along to the lyrics and makes for a very enjoyable start to the movie. There's some new secondary characters comapred to the series and suprisingly well developed given the short time frame of a movie comapred to the series. No-one feels quickly drawn in. The plot is a extra deveopment of the three main story arc episodes of the series ('Ballad of Fallen Angels', 'Jupiter Jazz', and 'The Real Folk Blues') and based between the second and third of those. Packaging is a soft plastic, clear box with a nice slip. The DVD clasp is a little overdone - a five point clasp with edges that make removal of the DVD difficult, though allowing it to spin in place fairly easily. Great film though and something you should really get if you enjoyed the series. - mopey

Fans of the series rejoice! This movie rocks! Even those of you new to Bebop will enjoy this film. The story is excellent (it feels like an extended episode), animation is top-notch, as is the sound. This version is full screen, which is okay, but the 'MI' version is widescreen & overall a better version in my opinion. 'Vicious' is the only reviewer who wasn't smoking crack-rocks when he rated the subtitles - they suck on this version. Words get chopped off the screen, & multiple rows of text will fly by in a second, forcing you to rewind to catch what's said. The 'MI' version of this flick has much better subtitling - the timing is better & words do not get cropped off the screen as often. Order this version now if you can withstand the subbing, otherwise demand the 'MI' version! :)

This movie takes place between episodes 22 and 23. -While the animation is fluid and drawn very well the video quality is a straight DVD rip it looks like. The reason I gave it a 9 is because I am not using S-video so it's not as clear as can be. -Sound-8, it's crisp and clear and sounds great but I do not use Surround Sound so I cannot give it the best rating. -Subtitle's are fine, they are understandable and you know who is speaking without having to go back or pause. The timing is nice, also. -The casing should also be noted I think, it uses a clear dvd case with a nice double-sided slipfold that has Spike's face right behind the dvd. And if you flip the case over to the back it has random people from scene's throughout the movie. It's a slick case, imo. -This is a Bebop's fantasy, if you have yet to see this grab it right now! It's cheap and worth the $11.50. **I might want to note, I grade diffrently. ^_^ I will rarely give a perfect 10 on anything when I start reveiwing and people who read these. This is my all out opinion and I see way to many 10's out there when it should be at the most an Eight. ~_~ Thank you for reading this. -XeRoGoD

One word-Fanfuckingtastic. You don't have to be a Cowboy Bebop fan to get into this. Of course it does'nt hurt either. The story line takes place between 2 of the tv episodes so it is more of a side story. The video transfer is beautiful-had to have been a dvd rip. Sound-ditto. Dolby 5.1, it really gives your subwoofer a good workout. The subtitles are really good, afew spelling errors here and there and other minor problems. There is no doubt about what is being said or by whom. If you don't have it yet-WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???

If you fell in love with the TV series, the movie only gets better. Join the crew and two new faces Electra and Vincent. For fans of the series you will just adore this movie. The only downfall on this disc is that the subtitles are very hard to read.
