Story: F.O.R is about a young man who is fixated on ninjas. He should be as he learns he is one of two survivors of an ancient and mysterious ninja clan! Soon he is caught up in a whirlwind of battles with his two highschool friends by his side as he tries to find out the secrets of his past. This series has it all. Action, mystery, comedy and a hint of love. You can't go wrong. There are some cool things here that should not be missed like awesome elemental weapons and a unique use of dragons. Enjoyability: Right from the start this series grabs you and doesn't let go. The mystery begins right at episode one and unravels at a pace that will keep you hooked until the end. This series is the total package. It never gets old or boring. There are a number of cool skills learned by the heroes and the villains only get freakier as the series goes on. Charachters: This series has a lot of charachters to choose from so you won't have a problem finding one you love. Every aspect of anime charachter is represented and they blend well together. There is a lot of growth shown by every charachter and a lot of backstory as well. Video: I had no problems with the video quality at all during this series. Everything is crisp and clean. 1 out of 6 discs I got was flawed but my replacement was great so you shouldn't have any problems in this area at all. Sound: The sound on these dvd's was perfect. No fading in and out or crackling etc. that you sometimes get. The Oystars do a great job on the soundtrack for both the open and close. The open is sorta punk rock while the close is like The Supremes. Very entertaining and catchy. Subtitle: For this amny episodes I was suprised by how good the subs were. Clear and easy to read aswell as mostly accurate. No name changing or gibberish. Hardly any faults to be found. Should be an easy one to follow for everyone.

You can read anyone elses synopsis, they are all accurate. Personally i thought this series was a waste of money and time. I had absolutely no depth to it. The fights are slightly amusing but after about the 3rd one you realise that they just repeat. Theres nothing new in this anime, no fresh ideas. However i can see how some people would like it. The plot is alot like a cheap kungfu arcade game. cheap in the way that it had more repeat animation than gundam wing(and thats sayin somethin) I might of enjoyed the action if it weren't so predictable. After about half way through the series i could of accuratly guessed on what was going to happen in the episodes to come aarrg not to mention that 75% of the whole series is a tournament ihgkjedjhdgfjf If your some1 who likes to get somethin out of your anime don't buy this

If you want a kick @## action series with incredible fights, superb character designs, and just overall coolness this is it. The anime ends short of the manga but still has a great ending fight. Some fans that have rated this gave it lower scores just because it had to stop do to lack of fundings where the manga went on. I say you have to look at it as an anime series overall and not get anal about the manga going on because this happens to a lot of series. The overall action, the story line, and especially the variety of techniques used by different characters in this anime will leave you with one favorite after another. If you want to look at comic panels to get more of the story I recomend that, but definately this series is one worth getting.

Well, there is 5 reviews already when I write this, so the plot can be found on the first one. Anyways, the sound quality is just fine, in some of the episodes, the video stream seems like its from a TV, the subs were excellent in that almost everything was spelled right, the grammar is correct, the names are not Chinese.. etc. Character Design? yea its pretty good, the characher's element alignment fits reallie well into their character. Story-wise, the anime WILL leave you hanging for more. There is 33 manga on this series, and the anime ran out of budget and did only the first 17 books, so the last 16 books remains a mystery to those who only watch the anime. However, it is rather enjoyable in terms of the fighting scenes

This was huge in fansub rings a few years ago. Story follows a young highschool student named Reka who is decended from a clan of ninjas with special mystical powers, as he and his friends (each with their own special powers) fight the forces of evil. Great from fans of Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, and the like.

Pretty interesting fighting saga, sometimes too much fighting, but hey isn't that what we really wish to see. I was disappointed that the series was cut short because there were alot of hints to future battles and the story became alittle rushed to finish it. Two or three more episodes would of rounded out the story alittle more, but what can you do. As for the quality of these dvds I would has to say pretty good for vhs rips. Only one episode had alittle shakiness, nothing real bad. Subtitles were on the money for the most part and sound, no problems here.

Synopsis: Recca is a regular teenage boy who, ever since he can remember, loves anything that has to do with ninja. In the first episode, he meets Yanagi, whom he later calls Hime (Princess), and swears to be her loyal ninja and protect her. This is because Kage Houshi, a woman who?s been searching for Recca, attacked him and Yanagi. This incident brought forth Recca?s hidden powers; flames coming out of his right arm. Later he?s joined by Fuuko Kirisawa, Domon Ishijima, Tokiya Mikagami, and Kaoru Koganei, to protect Yanagi. Why? I didn?t tell you? Well, Yanagi has special healing powers which some people are after because she might be the key to eternal life. Review: Flame of Recca is an action-packed anime that has to deal with protecting the person you love, finding out one?s true identity, revenge, etc. It has a lot of great fighting scenes, especially the tournament part. If you?re an action-type of anime person, then you?ll definitely want this. As for the plot, it was okay, they focus to much on the fighting scene though, and so little on the characters. The part that they gave much thought to was Recca and his identity. Which was pretty much detailed. And it?s ending will keep you hanging. I mean there are so many things I?d still like to know: Will Recca and Yanagi ever get together? What happens to Kage Houshi? Will we ever know who?s stronger: Recca or Kurei? I?m not saying it?s bad, because I liked it somewhat, but that it could have been better. In conclusion, if you like action-packed anime, with great art, and a not-so-detailed ending then you?ll want Flame of Recca. DVD Review: The character design is an 8. The only person they gave much thought to was Recca. The others has there own story, but it wasn?t as thorough as his. The story quality is a 7. Too much fighting, too little details. Enjoyability is 8. Although, the plot is so-so, I love watching the fighting scenes. It kept me watching it. The sound quality is a 9. Video quality is a 9. There are some parts where there are glitches, but nothing to worry about. The subtitle is a 9. It has few typos, but not that big a deal.
