Anyone that enjoys romance anime should buy this. The subtitles are great, the quality is great, and it is for sale for a very good price. The quality of the episodes are good and the subtitles are the best. Buy this great anime series.

This is a classic anime series. If you enjoy the typical guy getting into all the wrong situations, hilarious characters, and perverse humor, you'll enjoy this series. FX does another perfect DVD, so no double-guessing quality here: perfect.

Very funny and enjoyable anime. The only thing I would say against it is that the story is a bit shallow. The character development, however, helps to overlap that downfall. Had one problem with the subtitles, where they froze on one episode (this was the only problem that I found). I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh.

This is a great buy -- good mix of comedy/romance that even the girlfriend who doesnt like anime will enjoy it! :) everything is perfect...definetely r1 rips. the only reason i gave subtitles a 9 was because the dubbed version and subtitled version, though they tell about the same story, rarely match up. A definite must buy but beware the dubbed kitsune's voice :/

Sound: The music track for this set is one of my favorites all time. The opening theme was a perfect commentation on the crazyness that is Love Hina. Each time I watched it I was bouncing up and down in my chair barely able to contain myself with excitement. I can't comment on whether or not there were any actual flaws because I become so wrapped up in the story when I watch that I barely pay any attention to that as is, so from what I heard, perfect! Video: Again, I love this anime's art down to the very last little detail, I couldn't find a single flaw. Subtitles: The subs on this set left me rather speechless, I don't think i could count one mistake that my average teenage mind could catch. No problems here. Character Design: Well I won't say too much so as not to ruin the story for others, I do so hate it when people do that in their reviews, but I love the nice slow progression of things, it doesn't seem real if it goes to quickly right? Story Quality: Here is my only complaint in the entire series, and not to degrade it in any way, because it was an awsome series, but there were a few episodes (mainly one or two) that were just... how to say... boring... they sort of delayed the plot, but not really, it's all good. Enjoyability: As for enjoyability, rather flawless. The only problem (as every other reviewer has commented) is that the last episode 25 is left out... so don't be stupid like me and forget to order Love Hina Again + episode 25 and the specials along with this anime (ore wa baka! >_<). Overall: I really can't complain at all about this set, it was one of my all-time favorites, although I'll admit that it can be the most boring thing in the world, If you are the type of viewer that appeals to mainly the action parts of anime, then I would not advise this set, but to the rest of you who don't mind a cute story now and then, definetly go for it!

awesome animation style with fun action. Its a real fast paced anime. My only complaint is that is becomes frustrating when you can almost predict what is going to happen (guy tries to find something, girl thinks he is looking for her panties, girl kicks guy, guy is embarrased) Other than that its fun and it doesnt end abrupptley. I like the mixture of romance in the end which we were all looking for from the start

An awesome release of an awesome series. Like everything I've seen from fx, the video, audio, and subtitles are all perfect. A little macroblocking at times, but nothing serious. The audio and subtitles are perfect, direct R1 rips. You're definitely getting more than you pay for here.

First i will go over the quality of the DVD's. The sound Quality was almost perfect but on the first DVD if you use the english dub option it is set lower than the japese option. Plus sometimes u could hear a crackle in closing music. Other wise perfect. Video and subtitles were perfect, at no time was I lost on translations or miss spellings. The DVD set is missing eps. 25 as everyone says but i found that after watching the whole DVD set u miss nothing story wise. IF your looking for a good laugh and laid back comedy pick this title. Think of it as Tenchi Muyo but not as much women fighting with each other but instead with the lone guy. This is a must have DVD set.

I would recommend this series to anyone who likes a good "guy meets girl(s) in hot tub, girl beats guy, girl beats guy some more, and then beats him again" story. There is more to it than that. A hilarious series but the jokes do get repeated towards the end. I laughed long and hard. Not as good as say Rune Soldier but it is up there. You might also want to note that the sprng special (at least in my copy) was NOT English dubbed, just a little note.

I got this because alot of people just rave about it.I think out of the whole thing I liked 3 episodes.I know alot of people are probably ready to send me hate mail right now,but I thought it was bad.The whole will they/wont they... was really annoying the way it was put together.Am I the only person who finds the problem with the poor guy getting beat up every few minutes???I mean I know it was suppose to be comedy, but it was irratating after the hundredth time. They put that in there, apparently because they had to kill some time because of the slow boring storyline. However,I will say the video, sound, and subs are really good, but it is a shame to have to rate someting on technical merit alone. There are die hard fans out there that just love it.So I am sorry if I offend them...It just wasn't an anime for me.

Synopsis - Keitaro Urashimais a hopeless wanderer driven by a promise he made as a child. The promise, to get into Tokyo U together with a girl he once knew so they could live happily ever after together. Of course he has to overcome a few problems first. For one he can't even remember the name of the face of the girl he made his promise to! After failing the Tokyo U entrance exams two years in a row (that is another one of his problems...), he receives a call from his grandma who tells him to meet her. He arrives to find that his grandmother has left him in charge of the all girls dorm in Hinata Hot Springs! Join Keitaro on his wacky misadventures with the girls of the Inn as he struggles to get in to Tokyo U to fulfill his promise and battles with his feelings for the girls. Sound Quality- What can I say. I couldn't find a single thing wrong with the sounds and voices. I'll admit, though, that I never took a crack at the English soundtrack so I have no idea how good the dubs are. I probably should have listened to them for this review... Video Quality- Again, flawless. No little errors floating around or video skips here and there. El perfecto if I say so myself. Subtitle Quality - *thumbs up* Yet another perfect aspect of this collection. The subs in every episode were basically the highest quality subs I have seen in quite sometime. My only complaint comes from the Spring Special. It seems these subs came from another source than the rest. Don't get me wrong, they still have perfect grammar and everything, it's just that they are set up a little weird like different people's words appear on the same line and the songs aren't subbed. Character Design - Yay! You will fall in love with each and every character in the series from the ones just included for a little comic relief to the dead serious ones playing the major roles. We even get some pretty detailed information on each like their past, family, and how they ended up at Hinata Inn. Story Quality - It's a beautiful romantic comedy through and through. No I'm not usually the "lovey dovey" type. I generally prefer good old destruction and murder. But this series caught hold of me and never let go! Enjoyability - How should I put this... I enjoyed it! With every aspect nearly perfect, how could you not fall in love with this series? Summary - All in all I was very happy with this collection. FX did a great job as always. My only complaints remain in the slightly lower quality subtitle formatting in the Spring Special and that fact that some stuff was missing as in episode 25 and Love Hina Again, the final OVA. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good, solid romantic comedy that will keep them entertained for quite some time. However, those of you not into that stuff should be wary.

Sound: Perfectly fine. There were no problems that I noticed. Video: Was very good, no problems that I noticed. Subtitles: R1 Rip, They were very good. I did not like the DUB, I am not a fan of Dubbed Anime although there are some Dubs that are good, I thought the Akira Dub was excellent. Episode 25 is misssing, I did not read enough reviews about this set before I bought it so I did not know this fact. It even says on the packaging episodes 1-25, this is not the case. On the bright side I hear episode 25 was like a one off, it is not integral to the storyline. Besides that the show is hilarious and the characters are very likeable and the situations they get in are funny. R1 rip all the way, cannot go wrong besides the fact that episode 25 is missing.

I was very impressed by the anime, Kitsune's voice is a bit southern, but it suits her character. I am dissapointed by 2 things though. 1-The 25th episode was cut, and even though it was a recap, it was part of the series. 2-The Spring Special is not dual language, it is a very big dissapointment. I hope Fx comes out with a complete Love Hina set, this does not deserve the Perfect on it.

This anime is flawless. The video quality is perfect, theres nothing wrong with the sound. Theres no clicks or pops heard or anything. The subtitle quality is dead on despite what the last person said in the previous review. The subs are'nt slow, they are timed just right and are on key. The box this series comes in is beautiful. Everything is done is high quality and makes it look very professional. If only all the titles were flawless like this. Also the OVAs are'nt on here, the Christmas Special and Spring Special are on here though. And episode 25 is missing for some reason.

Oh yeah!!!

Another one of my favourite titles and again FX has done an excellent job with this series

Video

The video is solid like many previous FX titles the video rate ranges from 4-5 mb, there is of course some minor pixelation but this didn't distract from the enjoyment of watching this series

Sound

hmmmmmm....firstly if you value your life you don't want to listen to the eng dub. Now you always hear arguments about sub versus dub, well its true on this occassion, the eng dub f@##king stinks. Besides from the X Movie, this dub has to be one of the worst things to inflict upon your enemies...its just DAMM evil!!

Subs

since YOU be watching Love Hina in its orignal language, and unless you're fluent in Japanese you be needing the subs. Well the subs are solid, ripped from the R1 themselves, however, this is where I'm really nitpicking. It seems the subs are a slow to show on screen...hmmmm....but liek I said I'm a nerd and I do stuff like this, nitpick that is...

Anyway this is an excellent collection, it has the Christmas Special and Spring OVAs as well. However, episode 25 is nowhere to be seen on this collection, making it not quite as perfect....
